Our mandate
The Cook Islands Climate Change Programme operates under the Government of the Cook Islands within the Office of the Prime Minister. We align national climate priorities with international commitments and help secure the climate finance and technical support needed to deliver them.

A resilient Cook Islands where climate risks are understood and managed, and built into national planning and community development, for the long-term wellbeing of our people, environment and economy.
How we work
We coordinate across government, communities and partner organisations to reduce climate risk and support sustainable development. Our work addresses coastal erosion and inundation, drought, flooding, cyclones, shifting rainfall and changing ocean conditions, and their effects on infrastructure, ecosystems, food and water security, health and community wellbeing.
Coordinate
Leadership, alignment and oversight for national climate action across ministries and the Pa Enua.
Access funding
National Designated Authority to the Green Climate Fund, partner to MFEM on Enhanced Direct Access.
Report and inform
National reporting to the UNFCCC and accessible climate information for every community.
