NATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS (NATCOM)

The National Communications is prepared under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCC) and funded by United Nationals Environment Program (UNEP).

The National Communication outlines activities the Cook Islands has been carrying out to meet its requirements under the convention and how the country has moved towards addressing climate change since the initial national communications in 1999.

The Cook Islands is in progress of preparing its Third National Communications for completion in April 201

joint action plan

The Joint National Action Plan II describes the Cook Islands response to the severe challenges presented by a range of hazards, most notable of which are cyclones, sea surges, flooding, droughts and climate change. It brings Climate Change (CC) and Disaster Risk Management (DRM) to the forefront of national planning.
